Eleanor Roosevelt Day in the City: Remembering
the Universal Declaration of Human Rights

On Eleanor Roosevelt’s birthday, October 11, Ms. Cantrell’s 8th grade American History class from Everett Middle School will read the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The reading, to honor Roosevelt and the declaration she wrote, will be held at noon on the steps of City Hall.

This is part of the Human Rights Committee’s on-going campaign with WILPF to publicize the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and make it a significant, enforced law of California and the United States.
