While the Affordable Care Act has helped some people, many of us are feeling the pinch of rising costs and narrowing networks. Through interviews, animations and exposé, this new documentary film tells the story of the drama, struggle, and success of the movement towards healthcare equity.

 We've seen enough to know that insurance-based healthcare is not effective for keeping costs down and giving everyone access to needed medical care.  Advocates are totally committed to changing the healthcare system, and polls indicate that the general public supports the idea of universal healthcare.

The filmmakers will be present to answer questions and lead a discussion.  People will also discuss SB 562, the Healthy California Act, providing universal comprehensive medical services, financed by a single payer system.
