SB 562: Single Payer Healthcare, comprehensive, affordable, accessible healthcare for everyone in California, regardless of age, health, wealth, job status, gender, and documentation, with no deductables, co-pays, bills, insurance companies, or restriction on choice of doctors, hospitals etc. Healthcare paid for by pooling all current government funds, and progressive taxation.

SB 796: bringing incomes of SSI/SSP recipients up to poverty levels after a decade of grinding cuts to base grants and COLAs.

Protecting and improving existing healthcare for seniors and people with disabilities.

HealthCare Action Team (HAT) meeting. HAT is a coalition of seniors, people with disabilities, caregivers and community agencies working for increases of homecare services and affordable, supportive housing and improvements to discharge planning. We use theater, song, storytelling and other popular education and participatory research models to raise awareness of the growing need for quality services and housing and the important role they plan in our community.  HAT is a project of Senior & Disability Action.
