October 22 March Against Police Brutality
SF Gray Panthers is a co-sponsor of this year’s annual October 22 March Against Police Brutality, Repression, and Criminalization of a Generation.
This year’s participants want to also focus on police repression and ineffectuality on violence as a means of forcing poor and minority residents out of desirable real estate in Bayview and Western Addition. Other co-sponsors include Code Pink, Greenaction, ANSWER, and other groups we have worked with in the past.
The October 22 march will begin at 3:00 PM at Haight and Stanyan Streets, and will proceed through various affected neighborhoods, ending at or near the Ella Hutch Center at 1050 McAllister at Webster. Plans are still being made on a program with speakers and performances. Please contact the office for further details as they develop.
