Our October meeting will feature our traditional pre-election discussion and analysis of state and local propositions on the November ballot. We urge you to read for yourselves the descriptions in the state and county election booklets sent to you. Then come prepared to discuss with us the pros and cons of five bond issues, four tax proposals, another attack on abortion rights (similar to what we defeated last November), and other issues. We will summarize the issues and report to you what recommendations our Board of Directors has made. As special attractions, Bobby Bogan will explain Prop. K, and we will analyze in depth Prop. 90, the land-use proposal.
