Demonstration Against High Drug Prices
On February 27, 2003, San Francisco Gray
Panthers, Senior Action Network, and the Greenlining Institute demonstrated
against GlaxoSmithKline Drugs for their decision to ration supplies of
medicines to Canadian pharmacies selling drugs to the United States at
greatly reduced prices. The San Francisco demonstration was part of a
nation-wide campaign to boycott Glaxo products because of Glaxo's attempts
to keep US drug prices artificially high.
