From SiCKO to Single Payer

Gray Panthers went to Sacramento June 12 to join thousands of nurses, school employees, seniors, and other health activists for the premier of Michael Moore’s movie SiCKO, and to hear moving testimony by Moore, a mom whose child died from Kaiser’s gate- keeping, an ex-Humana doctor horrified at her denial of heart surgery years ago, and an operator of a Los Angeles homeless shelter where HMOs dump uninsured patients.

From June 29th to July 13, SiCKO will be playing nationally, including several San Francisco theaters, and hundreds will be leafleting movie audiences to bring the message of single-payer and Medicare For All. Please call either 510-663-4086 or 415-695-7891 and leave your name, phone, and when you’d be available to be on a team of leafleters. You will be called back with details.
