y Chocolate," traces the relationship between a young
gay man and a revolutionary-minded straight man. One battles alienation,
while the other his long-held prejudices. At first their interactions
are atagonistic, but grow to be genuine and substantial. This
is an intricate and layered film, deftly combining comedy and
drama. The only film released by ICAIC in 1994 at the height of
the “special period”, it had a significant impact

and activist Tillie Olsen in her youth that helped form her views.
From fighting racism to worker exploitation, Tillie used her beautiful
